bobbed750 - You might have a new business with "lift kits". With so many XSs being turned into trackers you could probably make a killing on the XS forums.
If you add rear frame loops the XS 400 guys would be all over it.

You think?
I could do frame hoops too, no biggie.
May be something I'll look into

What a great day! After coffee the club went over to bobbed750's spot to see some of his projects and get the "lift kit" installed. The masked man in action. Got the kit on and mounting brackets for the mufflers. So with the 13+ shocks and the kit i should be about 2 inches taller. Wow i'm digging this little tracker! Got home and my assistants conducted a spot inspection... Gotta watch em or they'l run off... Big thanks to Austin for your hospitality and great work!

That young lady looks very serious about her speed, you better start her on a little less displacement! ;D Always good to see your assistants have signed off on your latest work, and kept WT HQ lined out in the process.

Look ma no box! I realized if i replaced my dead battery with a sealed one i could mount it laying down. With the added hight from the "lift kit" i will have room to relocate all the electronics in a horizontal box under the seat. Soooo, box gone! This will allow me to re-route the lower exhaust throughout that gap and let me keep the center stand. Now the big news. PROGRESSIVES!!! $100 from MikesXS What a deal!!!

Some odd 'n ends. New plug wires, just for fun. Working up the under seat "pans". Big one for the electronics and small one for the battery that will sit flat above the rear wheel. And, more parts hoarding. ;D

Looks really good Tim, are you covering up the flex pipe with wrap or leaving it like it is. Where did you by you plug wires, locally? Nice new parts bar mirrors and all.. Are you going to try a fiberglass build yourself on the seat or are you going with Aluminum. Keep up the good work with thoughs cute little helpers I see why you can get so much work done

Shiny stuff! Pretty enough to just hang on the walls. But I'm sure it will look better dressing up the XS. You're making great progress, keep it up amigo!

Thanks Phil! Jack, the seat is actually done. Those new parts are for under it to hold the electronics. They will be suspended from the frame. The bace of them is juts some old plastic from a couple of clipboards. A little Gorilla Glue and some red paint for finish em off. I got the plug wires from Mike's XS. Starting to source more and more from him. Amazing prices. The flex pipe will stay raw. I love the uniqueness of the look. Stay tuned for a new very cool routing for the pipes...
