This is going to be a LOOOONG term build. Started as a no title 1981 XS650SH bought from "bobbed750" for $250 (thanks brew!). It's got great bones. We're just going to see how it goes.
There will be a fair bit of post-whoring from me on this thread.

First pic of what we're starting with. I have better pictures taken with my camera, this is just the one I took with my phone.

I want to do this, only on Glenstone... For the record, I am not Gene Romero and will probably never be this badass, but a boy can dream.

Teardown?? Looks she just needed a quick wax job and a shot of Seafoam! :-) Nice job documenting the work, keep it up. Let me know when you need some adult supervision, and I'll be glad to drop in and drastically slow down your progress.

Got my electrics rounded up (cost list updated). Doing some research on what swingarm I'm going to cob in back there. Also, the info on converting the rear to disc brake/wire wheel without geting $800 (not an exaggeration) in just the rear wheel, is freaking mind-boggling... pray for me fellas.

There is an '80 rear mag, new tire, disc and brake caliper on ebay that will end in a little over one day from now. Less than a hundred is the bid at this time. All reconditioned and like brand spankin' new.

I just snagged a complete radian swingarm a couple days ago. I think I got the rear hub issue figured out, but I don't want to post on it until it's a done deal. I've been pretty busy at work the last couple weeks. The sunshine has brought the bikes swarming in.
