This looks great. Thanks for the story and the inspiration. Great job to you and Tim! A big thanks to you for the forum. With out it and Tim " the builder's" help and encouragement I would not have done it. The photos not in here are of my wife in the shop helping me. We have had so much fun building this bike and talking about the bikes and times we have had with them. But we are not done with new purple. Look for more up dates.

I know i and others would be interested in any lessons learned along the way.
What was easier than expected? What was harder?
For those of us who have not done a "frame off" yet, how do you keep things organized? What would you do different as far as organization and cataloging?
Did you discard anything that you wished you had saved?

I used a digital camera and took photos of where things were and put parts in sandwich bags and libeled them. I put the bags in boxes with bags of parts that came form the same area. I also keep a note book with notes and a service manual.
The most fun was working with TIM P. and the response from the people that have seen it. The seat was a lot of laughs.
The sad part was working out of town and do not getting to help with the engine build as much as i would have liked. And I did not keep all the photos.
What surprised me was how easy parts are to get. Thanks to Dime City Cycle , Cycle Broker ( Spfd), Performance Cycle( Republic Mo)Smith Cycle (Honda dealer in Pittsburgh, Ks)and J C Whitney

Good info. Especially the mention of local resource people.
I'm glad to see the list of good local service & support growing.

I had to put a new master cyclender ( from Dime City Cycle) on the front brake. Thanks to Jack P. ( see Brake bleed theard) way of brake bleeding the brake works great. By breva750 at 2012-05-20 On test ride week before Hallet I found a "T" intersection I did not know about. She got bend bars and I got a bruise tail end.

By breva750 at 2012-05-08 This not the red tank I am using. This was gold and that had been cleaned, got it for $25. I painted purple and painted the black strip back on it. The dent gives it character, like me.

I cut a rectangle out of the pan, so I would have a place for tool bag and gloves. By breva750 at 2012-05-08
