Anybody free this weekend who knows brakes and electrical stuff? I'm great at hooking up HDMI cables. But that's the extend of my electrical knowledge. Let me know if you need some air in your brake system. That I can do too. HDMI, BNC, RCA and home power cables for me. I'm practically a "master electrician". ;D

The rear caliper is deadlocked onto the rotor It must be a Bob Marley fan if it's dreadlocked.

Well, yesterday wasn't SUPER productive, got the gas tank back on the bike, looked at it for a while, then pulled the front fender off and roughed both of the fenders up with a sanding wheel (got the idea from bobbed, worked perfectly!) and painted them green for now. Yes, the "Riddler" paint job will extend to these when I get around to it. Here's how she sits right now. By kb850l at 2012-06-27 By kb850l at 2012-06-27 Debating leaving the fenders off and riding it like that, but i'm not sure. Opinions are appreciated. The Riddler hasn't given me a straight answer as to wether he is gonna pay me when i'm done with this or not.......

I like a short fender.
Most of these old forks are designed to need the fender at a minimum for bracing. If you pull the front fender you need a brace so might as well keep a short fender.

So here it is. Thanks to Doc, some unexpected free time, and my wife TELLING me i needed to get my bike up and running, i'm only a few steps from being 100% done. Picture time I started with the handlebars I traded with tim, and painted them with blue ceramic spray paint. By kb850l at 2012-08-01 Slapped them on and loved the result By kb850l at 2012-08-01 After that I got on the sides of the tank. The whole paint job looked crappy, and there were deep grooves on each side where the Badges went, so I filled them with plastic metal bonda stuff and sanded it, then painted the tank again. By kb850l at 2012-08-01 Worked alright, planned on putting vinyls over that spot anyways. While doc was helping me out with my big issues, I attacked a few things quickly: The Tail light and the exhaust. Love the megaphones, just not my style, so off they came to make way for .......? By kb850l at 2012-08-01 Notice the brae light? Nothing a standard L bracket and some redneck rigging can't fix. Of course, the major problems were taken care of by Doc (I can see where he got the name). The plug for the headlight was worn, so he hooked me up with a better one. By kb850l at 2012-08-01 And after this mess was sorted by him.... By kb850l at 2012-08-01 I got this! OMG HEADLIGHT CAME ON!!! By kb850l at 2012-08-01 So... it's time for a look at how this bike will live the rest of it's life, sans mufflers and new tires. Drumroll please....... By kb850l at 2012-08-01 By kb850l at 2012-08-01 And that's how she sits. Pretty soon it wont be sitting very much, fingers crossed. Thanks a heap Doc, I owe you big time.

Looks good, man. No problem with the assistance; always like to lend a hand when I can.
Oh, and the "Doc" moniker is from more surgeries and medical procedures than I care to remember. But your version sounds far more pleasant!) :-)
