I grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area. We had Laguna Seca to the south, Sears Point to the north. Sears Point was more receptive to weekend and club racing. The summer of 1976 had us at Sears Point with an RD350 Yamaha. What a blast. Jim rode the bike while Lenny and I wrenched. Check out the variety in the starting grid! Hey Tim, I grew up in SanJose, and some in Salinas by Laguna Seca. Man what memories those pic's are! I'll try to post up some From Laguna Seca. Dan S.

Dan - Your mention of Salinas brought up memories of the hill climbs. I'll dig up some old black and whites I did one year. I think it was '69 or '70. A coworker modified a Yankee for the climbs. It was a 500 twin 2 stroke with both pistons firing at the same time. LOTS of torque.
