Most of my riding has consisted of 2 or 3 guys, at most, tearing through the countryside with no destination in my mind. After our ride to El Dorado Cycle I thought I could benefit by doing a little research and refresher on the whole group riding concept. Yeah, I know, best case scenario I would have done this before the ride, but better late than never. At least I'll have this to refer back to before our next group ride. Lots of resources on the web, but this MSF - Group Riding: Quick Tips that I found seemed to be the most informative, and at only 2 pages long it was short enough that I didn't get distracted halfway through it and not finish. I thought I would share it with the group in case anybody else was interested. I also ran across this animated graphic of Universal Motorcycle Hand Signals for those of us that need motion and the like to keep us interested long enough to learn new things (me included). Pay special attention to the that last one, as it may come in especially handy if you're "volunteered" to lead the next ride. ;D

For those not used to twisties and hard turning at speeds, learn to use counter-steering on the bike and only look at where you want to be, not at the sides of the road or where you DON't want to go! Boulevard and Highway crusin' habits won't get you thru high-speed turns.

Hay brad I am new to motorcycles and if you could loan me a few books to read I would greatly appreciate it. I will be at the April ride at least to chat for an hour so if you could possibly bring them with you then that would be awesome thanks. Cody
