Changed the clutch cable yesterday. I thought I had the wrong replacement as the new one was at least a 1/2" shorter. Installed it and it seems to work!
The old one was completely stretched and had no more room at the lever for adjustment. The bike was wanting to die when I had the clutch engaged at a stoplight. I feel a lot better now. Getting ready to test some more this morning.

That little 650 is nice. The guy that built that scooter has helped me tremendously. I'm gonna get some 29mm smoothbores for the 900. We gotta throw em on yours too! Mines down for the winter carb rebuild that hasn't been done since the 70's.
