I try to do a couple of Iron Butt rides every year, anyone here interested in doing one in the spring?

Any destination in mind? I rode to Pensacola & back in June so I have recouped enough for another long one. Or did you mean a day trip LOL.

1000 Miles in 24 hoursl Routes vary, I try to make it a round trip, so that I'm home in the allotted time. Birmingham and back is 1072 miles, for example. This will earn you Iron Butt status, the elite "toughest riders in the world".......... www.ironbutt.com/about/default.cfm

I'd be interested in doing on sometime, but I REALLY need to get all 4 of my bikes on the road in 2012. Kinda doubt I'd have the funds left over for extra travels after rebuilding 2 engines. :/

I might consider that, I did the bunburner and the saddle sore in one trip in '07. We went to Clines Corners, NM and back. I woludn't really want to do I-40 again if I could keep from it, just for something different.

Is it possible to make good enough avg. time to Baton Rouge and still make the saddle sore 24hr. critera AND have crawfish?
