Looks like an idea that's sweeping the globe! It would appear somebody at The Bike Shed web site has been monitoring the SV&CR and "borrowed" your idea.
They do a good job laying out many of the reasons that Brad has used to convince us to join him in May for a Track Day at Hallett Raceway, close to Tulsa. But if you've missed the coffee sessions where such things get discussed this is a great article to review.
Now if you're close to London you can always join the Bike Shed folks, but if you're closer to the Ozarks you should join us, just check out the "May Track Day Specifics" thread in this forum for all of the details.
