This looks so freakin epic I can hardly sit at my desk. Will take some finesse to justify, but I also saw there is a two up option. Tambien, yo hablo espanol y yo puedo traducir. He said, "And, i speak Spanish and can be your translator." Don't they speak Portuguese there?

For those of you wondering how to pack it all so you can fit it on a bike, here's a web page from the guru of light travel: One Bag - The Art and Science of Traveling LightThe short version: synthetic fabrics for everything possible, so you can wash them out at night and they'll be dry by morning. There's much more to it than that, but that will get you started.

My best tip is to roll everything op.
For bike travel i use leftover shopping bags and roll in those. Don't have to worry about the bike bags being water tight that way. I also find it easer to fit rolled things than square things.

Smart wool socks and synthetic under garments are good for two days of wear without washing, unless conditions are our current weather

I still have a couple of patches if some one who is in on the trip didn't get one.

It would appear that we didn't make the August 2013 rendition of this ride, but here's a little sumtin' sumtin' to keep your juices flowing, and to help keep the faith! ========================= What is it like to ride a motorcycle through the worlds most bio-diverse country? Join 6 riders to find out, as they explore Ecuador's Pacific Coast, colonial cities, Andean villages and Amazon jungle while tackling the twisties and amazing roads in between. Filmed over 12 days in November 2012. ========================= And if you're really fired up and just can't wait, Ecuador Freedom Bike Rental's next 12 day Discover Ecuador ride leaves December 6, 2013. That gives you 90 days to make excuses , save the $$ , and maybe get in shape, so the high altitude doesn't suck the life out of you .
