Anyone have any recommendations for getting a 2-stroke 125 rebored here in town? My MT125 needs to be bored 1 size over.
Here are the places I've talked to as well as their pricing and lead-time:
Mothers machine - $95, 3-4 weeks 417Powersports - $65, 3-4 days O'Reilly Machine - $35-$45, 1 week
Motor Machine up on Commercial doesn't do anything that small, they suggested sending it out to West Plains and getting the work done at D&S Cycle. Not sure of their price or lead time though.
I'm currently leaning towards 417Powersports, they seemed most knowledgeable on the phone & said the work is done in-house.

Wound up getting the job done at 417 Powersports. Paid $45 and it took a little longer than expected but it was worth the wait!

Love this section of the forum!
Looks like the DTs going there as well.
Did they have the info on the new specs needed? Or did you have to provide that to them?

I did the research myself, sourced the parts etc and took them in to 417PS. It'd be a bit more difficult though if you don't already know the current bore diameter of the cyl. I was able to determine that mine was standard size and I went up sizes accordingly.

Yes, i'm totally over my head on this one... You'll want to get it mic'd then if possible. Also, check the top of the old piston, see if it has anything stamped in it other than the arrow indicating the exhaust port direction. The standard size piston typically won't have anything other than the arrow. As they go up in size they'll have markings of ".50", "1.0", "1.5", "2.0" Wiseco PN's and sizing info... 471M06600 66.00mm STD Displacement:172cc Stroke:50.00mm 471M06650 66.50mm 0.50mm Displacement:172cc Stroke:50.00mm 471M06700 67.00mm 1.00mm Displacement:174cc Stroke:50.00mm 471M06750 67.50mm 1.50mm Displacement:175cc Stroke:50.00mm 471M06800 68.00mm 2.00mm Displacement:176cc Stroke:50.00mm
