anyone know who does blasting on carbs ? I want to get mine done on my cb500 four....I tried a number of things but they have been sitting a while and some of the products recomended to didn't even begin to touch them.....any help is appreciated...I am only after having the bodies cleaned up.....unfortunately the person who cleaned and installed the kits on them put them back together filthy and even used some of the old gaskets and left out some o-rings on the jets.....fixed all of his errors ....now just want them clean....almost everything on the bike is new except fot the four big black grime covered carbs..............thanks

I've heard an ultrasonic machine (like those used by jewelry stores) in conjunction w/ carb cleaner will do wonders. I've seen some on the web that hold around a quart of cleaner, that should be big enough for one carb body at a time. I believe they were around $150. That might compare favorably to having all 4 professionally cleaned.

thanks guys...I may contact the co. that will do it for me as I am all thumbs if I had to take them apart from each other.( springs and clips kind of give me the willies since I have a bunch of bananas for fingers ) just rode it for the first time today after de-rusting the tank ( evaporust.......did a killer job for 16.00$ at orshelens ....no regrets over the others I have used in the past )so I still have plenty of time since I still have to time the elec. ign. and probably a ton of other stuff , once all is said and done then the tear down for paint and polish......once again thanks for the replies .........

DIY'ers may be interested in this. www.aircooledtech.com/tools-on-the-cheap/soda_blaster/I've used it to clean carbs, clear coat from engine cases and the inside flutes on wheel hubs. Simple, cheap, and it makes your breath minty fresh if you don't wear a filter mask. It DOES require plenty of rinsing.
