Hey guys. I introduced myself a while back on the intro thread, and I have officially started the (probably long-term) cafe build of my 78 Goldwing. Dropped some clubman bars on her this week, and I gotta say I really like it so far. Future plans include

- Different rearsets/controls
- Going to get rid of the rear fender
- Figure out a different tail light/signal situation
- Fork brace is pretty high on the to-do list
- Shorter cables (especially the clutch cable), and SS brake lines (when
I put the left side brake assembly back on - it was removed by a
previous owner).
- Exhaust is going to get changed.
- Going to paint the false tank at some point
- Dyna electronic ignition

That is a sweet cafe build.

Rex, I think it's always been naked. They didn't start putting factory bags on them until '80, I think.
Dirt, hindsight's always 20/20. It's a beast, but once I got used to it's heft, it's not too bad. I sat on an 08 R1 the other day and it felt like I could lift it off the ground if I had to haha.
