Good luck Dustin! I have no technical knowledge to offer, but lots of moral support. I would suggest hitting your favorite search engine to find a shop manual to download, or at least access online. That will answer a world of questions about diagnosis and repair, plus dis-assembly and re-assembly procedures, especially if you have no prior experience. Even if you have to hit eBay for a Haynes version, it's usually money well spent.
Do keep posting your progress, pictures and questions. It may take a day or two for the appropriate member to see your questions, but somebody will usually chime in. And again, good luck!!

Thanks everyone! It was great meeting you as well! Brad, I've not tried starting it yet. I'm replacing the hoses and cables right now. Just finished painting the motor and DG pipes. Should I keep the autolube system? Any recommendations on which oil to use? It seems to have good compression. Hoping the the crank seals are good. By little sister do you mean the DS7? If so how much? My wife needs a bike! Dustin-

Start by soaking them in vinegar. Cheep and loves to eat old gas and rust. Might take a few days and a few rinses.
Let us know how it goes.

Keep the auto-lube if it works for sure. No one wants to mix gas.
I use Yamaha 4S with no problems on my 360.

Berrymans is the best carb cleaner in my opinion. I get the spray cans, I like to use a wire brush or screwdriver to scrape/scrub the inside stuff out. Soaking them works too
