Some messing about. Re-routed the left exhaust through the newly opened space in the center of the frame. I dig the way it looks! Then spent some time on wiring. Running the handlebar wires through some "loom tubing".

Very nice work! Those pipes look awsome. Can't wait to see it in action.

Very nice work! Those pipes look awsome. Can't wait to see it in action. Thanks, high praise! I'm having serious build creep going on. I keep unraveling more things. In the beginning i never planed to remove the battery box and reposition the wiring. But here we are.

Well got all the electronics in there new spots and the battery installed. Of course now there is no power anywhere.... Looks like the PO did some "bandaid" fixes around the fuze box. I imagine i pulled something loose in that mess so will probably have to get a new one and replace all his short cuts. Was really hoping to start wrapping things up and start fine tuning for May. Instead i guess i'll be learning to read a wiring diagram...

Well at coffee Sunday Phil and i had a conversation about trouble shooting. Came to the idea from his friend Eric that often it is better to start with "easy" than to start with "common". I cam home from that and attacked a problem with the KZ by doing the easy thing instead of a full carb re-build. Fixed it in about 10 min. So went back to the XS today with that same approach. Yes it would be neat to rip out the whole loom and build a new simple one. OR i could just start by replacing the obvious rotten and hacked-up fuze block. So after some advice from Tim at Ozark Power Sports... Out with the old- In with the new- And whatdoyouknow! We got lights and fire! All thanks to Sunday Sinners Coffee!

Hanged out with TimR (OPS) a bit today. They have sorted most of the few remaining things on the XS. With a few parts on order. The big thing is just a professional re-check of my work. I'm comforted to not see the whole thing in bits on the floor! A ZipTie here, a pipe strap there but no major "fix what Tim-WT broke" activity. The fact that they're giving at least a partial thumbs up makes me feel GREAT! All in all we are right on track for the "Li'll XS" to rock Hallett! I might even "Do the .5Ton"!!!

Road it today for the very first time, all the way home from Ozark. Hard to believe all this work and never knew if i would enjoy riding it. Turns out I love the little rocker! First trip to coffee with the guys. Had a little problem getting home so now it's in the hands of the masters - Brad and Josh. Thanks SO much guys!

Road the little rocker all around town today on errands for my trip, visiting Vince, etc. What a blast to ride and running like a top. A very loud top!
But oh man those pipes get HOT! Don't want to wrap them because i love the way they look raw, but i might have to just out of self preservation!
Next up- Track video!!!
