Leaving to get the fiberglass parts late Friday morning. Taking the car with miniscule back seating at the request of the Boxercafe.com guy. So space for one passenger departing Springfield around 11 am if schedules are open.

Well i'd love to but i'll give Phil dibs because i owe him one. (or several). AND i have a shoot scheduled for 11 am that will probably take an hour, so i'd miss the boat anyway.

RaceTech sent me the wrong fork springs. They mis-keyed and sent .75 kg/mm springs instead of .85 kg/mm springs. The .75 would be fine if I dropped 40 lbs . While talking to their tech, he suggested I just send them my forks, and they will install the new (correct) springs with their cartridge emulation kit for $125 plus cost of fork seals. Price includes 15W fork oil. So that is my new plan.

Forks should be off today, then UPS'd to RaceTech Monday. Who wants to trim off some excess metal tabs? Forks are off yeah.

That is labor and oil only. Springs & cartridge emulation kit are separate. Have some loose particles rattling around my gas tank. Same color as the paint. Perhaps it's a BMW factory coating inside the tank that has worked itself loose? Definitely not rust:

Was researching various forums about ways to improve the appearance of the various cast engine casing parts without removing the engine for vapor or bead blasting. Lots of folks were using this Rub N Buff product in a silver leaf color. It's a blend of metallic powders and pigments with wax. Worked great on the first exhaust nut:
