Zoomer it looks great the engine looks brand new, along with exhaust nut. Things seem to be going really well for you. Did you by the rub & buff locally?

I have an acquaintance in the antique furniture biz, I'll ask if they know if it's available locally. That motor is starting to look like it just came off the assembly line!

Michael's or Hobby Lobby might stock it. Users report that this stuff is very durable and holds up well to heat.

Racetec is shipping back my forks today, so I should see them Friday. My exhaust, front wheel and rear subframe are at Springfield Powdercoating, and should be done by the weekend. The upholsterer has the seat pan, and is supposed to be mocking up the foam for a test fit. Slow progress, but inch-by-inch is a cinch.
I have a nice open window at work after the holiday weekend, so I'm tentatively planning a two week ride out to Arizona and Utah. Thinking about both rims of the Grand Canyon, Zion, Bryce Canyon, Staircase-Escalante, and the Moab area. I solo rode several National Parks in Colorado last year and really enjoyed it, and have been wanting to go to Utah.

The trip has now morphed into the SUV, kids, moto trailer, and Estes Park / Rocky Mtn Nat'l Park. To take the RT or St3 ? Finally done with Rub-N -Buff thank goodness: Forks came back from RaceTech today, so perhaps I can reassemble things with some expert help in June.

Picked up various parts from the powder coater this evening. The exhaust is now ceramic satin black. The upholstery guy even mocked up the foam on my seat. The new rear shock showed up too. Now I need to start piecing it back together

Nice Zoom everything looks really good... interested in that ceramic coated exhaust.. how do you like it? Ready for assembly now? Matches the frame color well, as does the satin black powdercoat on the wheels. Mark at Springfield Powdercoating seems to be a stand up guy, so I don't have any worries . And the price of $150 for prep, blasting and ceramic coating was reasonable. The chrome looked great from 10'; the ceramic looks great at 6" !!
